Solar Photovoltaic (PV)

Solar Photovoltaic (PV)

Solar energy systems work by collecting sunlight, which generates a dc current in the panels, and feeding the energy into an inverter, which in turn converts the energy into usable AC current.

This current is the fed into your main consumer unit and from there into your electrical appliances. Any energy that is not used by you is then exported to the main electricity grid for someone else to use.

All of the solar PV panels and inverters we recommend are of the highest quality, and because we aren’t tied to any particular supplier or manufacturer we are able to install and commission any solar PV system of your choosing. Having said that, our consultants and engineers recognise the fact that not everyone is a solar expert, and will give you the information and advice necessary to make a truly impartially informed decision.

If you have a particular make or model of panel or inverter that you would like, please let your renewable consultant know and they will gladly oblige you.

If you find that your head is spinning with efficiencies of this and kilowatts of that, just give us a call or send us an email and we will be happy to help you by laying out all of the information you need in a clear and concise manner.

"Solar Photo voltaic, or PV, uses light from the sun to generate an electric current. This electricity can then be used to power the appliances in your home and can greatly reduce your electricity bills. In addition to the reduction in your energy bills, if you have a grid connected PV system, you could be eligible to claim the Feed in Tariff."
